Inflation expectations jump to 3.9% in NY Fed survey, highest since May 2023

Americans’ one-year inflation outlook climbed to 3.9% in September, the New York Fed’s survey showed, while spending expectations also rose. Markets still expect the Fed to hold rates later this month, according to CNBC.
